COUTEAU DE POCHE.
La présente invention concerne un couteau de poche selon le préambule de la revendication 1 ou 2. Plus précisément, la présente invention concerne un couteau de poche muni d'une ébauche de clé ou d'une clé, ainsi qu'une ébauche de clé et une clé pouvant être fixée à un tel couteau.
Les couteaux de poche multifonctionnels de type ~ couteau suisse ~
comportent de manière générale une ou plusieurs lames coupantes eVou un ou plusieurs ustensiles pivotant entre les deux côtes du couteau. La demande de brevet W095/26859 décrit un tel couteau dont une extrémité est munie d'un anneau permettant d'y accrocher une ou plusieurs clés. Un tel couteau est peu pratique à transporter dans sa poche, puisque l'encombrement du couteau s'ajoute à celui des clés. En outre la manipulation des ustensiles ou lames du couteau est gênée par les clés.
Le document de brevet US-5 392 622 décrit un couteau de poche comprenant plusieurs ustensiles pivotant entre les côtes du couteau, dont une clé. Lorsque la clé est insérée dans une serrure, le corps du couteau reste dans le prolongement de la clé, ce qui peut constituer un danger notamment dans le cas d'une clé d'automobile. En outre, les autres ustensiles ne peuvent pas être utilisés lorsque la clé est insérée dans une serrure.
Le but de l'invention est de proposer un couteau de poche amélioré, en particulier un couteau de poche qui permette de résoudre les inconvénients des couteaux de poche de l'art antérieur.
Selon l'invention, ces buts sont atteints par un couteau de poche présentant les caractéristiques mentionnées en particulier dans les revendications indépendantes, des caractéristiques préférentielles étant en outre mentionnées dans les revendications dépendantes.
En particulier, le but de l'invention est atteint au moyen d'un couteau de poche comprenant une ébauche de clé ou une clé montée, comme les autres ustensiles, de manière pivotante autour d'un axe transversal du couteau de poche. La clé ou l'ébauche de clé est amovible et peut être dissociée du couteau pour l'utilisation.
L'invention sera mieux comprise à la lecture de la description donnée à titre d'exemple et illustrée par les figures où:
s la figure 1 représente une vue en coupe longitudinale d'un couteau muni d'une ébauche de clé.
Ia figure 2 représente une ébauche de clé munie d'une portion d'attache selon une première forme d'exécution, la figure 3 représente une clé façonnée et munie d'une portion d'attache selon une deuxième forme d'exécution.
Le couteau 1 représenté en coupe sur la figure 1 est constitué d'un corps 10 comportant deux côtes parallèles espacées, seule la côte arrière 11 étant visible sur la figure. Les deux côtes sont généralement réunies par au moins deux axes transversaux 12 et 13. L'axe 12 sert ici de point de pivotement de la lame 14 représentée à moitié sortie. D'autres lames ou ustensiles non représentés sur la figure peuvent être incorporés au couteau 1, et disposés par exemple de manière à pouvoir pivoter autour de l'un ou l'autre des axes 12 ou 13 ou d'autres axes non représentés. Une telle construction est connue de la technique.
Selon l'invention, le couteau 1 est muni d'une ébauche 2 destinée, après façonnage, à former une clé. L'ébauche 2 comprend une portion d'ébauche de clé 20, de forme essentiellement longiligne et plate, soit ayant laforme et les dimensions habituelles d'une ébauche de clé et une portion d'attache 21 permettant de la monter de manière pivotante autour de l'axe transversal 13. Sur la figure 1, I'ébauche 2 est représentée à l'état replié.
L'utilisateur peut faire pivoter l'ébauche 2 autour de l'axe 13, comme représenté par la flèche, afin de la sortir du corps 10. Une lame dorsale élastique 15 de type connu, fixée en son milieu par un pivot, vient en appui contre une portion 25 de l'arête dorsale de l'ébauche 2 en position repliée et ~ CA 02224497 1998-01-21 contre une portion 26 de l'arête ventrale de l'ébauche 2 lorsque celle-ci est extraite hors du couteau. L'ébauche 2 est donc immobilisée dans ces deux positions par la lame ressort 15.
La variante d'ébauche et de clé illustrée sur les figures 1 et 2 comprend une ouverture 22 dans la portion d'attache 21 permettant de dégager et retirer l'ébauche 2 ou la clé façonnée 23 de l'axe 13, et donc du corps 10.
Pour cela, l'ébauche 2 ou la clé 23 est partiellement sortie en position perpendiculaire par rapport au corps du couteau. Cette position intermédiaire est stabilisée par l'appui de la lame ressort 15 contre l'arête d'extrémité 27 de o la clé ou de l'ébauche. La clé ou l'ébauche peut être alors extraite en la faisant glisser le long de la lame 15 parallèlement à l'axe du couteau vers le centre ducouteau, jusqu'à ce que l'axe 13 sorte hors de l'ouverture 22. La figure 2 montre l'ébauche 2 extraite du corps 10 du couteau 1. L'ébauche 2 est donc amovible. ll est donc possible de la séparer du couteau pour la façonner en clé
23 ou plus tard pour l'utiliser indépendamment du corps du couteau 1.
L'ébauche de clé 2 ou la clé façonnée 23 peut être réintroduite dans le couteau de manière inverse.
La clé 23 ou l'ébauche de clé 2 peut être utilisée soit dissociée du couteau 1, soit complètement extraite mais toujours solidaire du couteau 1. La clé ou l'ébauche de clé ne peut être décrochée que dans la position intermédiaire extraite perpendiculairement à l'axe de couteau. ll est donc impossible que la clé 23 ou l'ébauche de clé 2 ne se décroche lorsqu'elle est repliée dans le couteau 1 ou en l'utilisant en position extraite.
Le couteau est de préférence vendu muni d'une ou plusieurs ébauches de clé 2 non façonnées. L'acheteur pourra alors faire façonner l'ébauche par un atelier spécialisé afin d'obtenir une clé 23 adaptée au type etau numéro de la serrure correspondante. Le couteau peut aussi être vendu ou livré avec une clé façonnée. Par exemple, le couteau peut être offert à
l'acquéreur d'une automobile muni de la clé de démarreur de l'automobile. La clé étant amovible, elle peut être facilement remplacée en cas de changement de serrure ou de véhicule.
La figure 3 illustre une clé déjà façonnée 23, dans laquelle l'ouverture 22 est façonnée de manière à ce que la clé se décroche d'elle-même lorsqu'elle est extraite jusque dans une position perpendiculaire au corps du couteau 1. La clé ne peut donc pas être pivotée jusque dans le prolongement du couteau sans la dissocier. La portion d'attache 26 et la forme de l'ouverture 22 sont dans ce cas formés de manière à ce que la clé puisse être très facilement accrochée autour de l'axe transversal 13 du couteau, en sorte que la clé peut être extraite et réintroduite dans le couteau sans aucune difficulté même lors d'un usage répété. Cette disposition est avantageuse 10 lorsque l'on souhaite éviter que l'utilisateur n'emploie la clé en position extraite dans le prolongement du couteau. Dans le cas d'un couteau muni d'une clé de démarreur pour automobile par exemple, il est important d'éviter que les utilisateurs ne circulent avec le couteau 1 enfiché en bout de clé dans le tableau de bord, ce qui poserait des problèmes de sécurité évidents en cas d'accident et risquerait dans certains cas de gêner la manipulation du volant oudu levier de vitesse de l'automobile.
La clé ou l'ébauche de clé est disposée dans les exemples illustrés avec une denture principalement sur l'arête externe de la clé en position repliée dans le couteau. Cette disposition permet généralement d'extraire facilement la clé hors du couteau en pinçant les dents entre les doigts. La clé
pourrait cependant être disposée dans l'autre sens, avec une denture à
l'intérieur du couteau lorsque la clé est repliée. Dans ce cas, un onglet sera de préférence prévu près de l'arête dorsale de la clé afin de faciliter son extraction. Il est naturellement également possible d'utiliser des clés munies de dents ou d'organes équivalents sur les deux arêtes interne et externe ou même sur les faces latérales de la clé.
Le couteau 1 peut naturellement comporter plusieurs ébauches 2, respectivement plusieurs clés 23, disposées autour d'un axe commun ou autour de deux ou plusieurs axes différents. Le couteau peut être muni de n'importe quel type de clé, par exemple d'une clé d'immeuble, de véhicule ou de n'importe quel objet actionnable avec une clé. La clé ou l'ébauche de clé
peut donc selon la fonction prévue présenter des formes et des caractéristiques très variables. La clé peut aussi être une clé électronique ou une clé mixte mécanique et électronique.
La présente invention concerne également des clés 23 et des ébauches de clés 2 pouvant être vendues ou diffusées séparément et s comportant une portion d'attache 21 munie d'une ouverture 22 permettant de les fixer de manière amovible sur un couteau de poche, de manière à pouvoir pivoter autour d'un des axes transversaux 12 ou 13. The object of the invention is to propose an improved pocket knife, in particular a pocket knife which overcomes the drawbacks pocket knives of the prior art.
According to the invention, these objects are achieved by a pocket knife having the characteristics mentioned in particular in the independent claims, preferred features being further mentioned in the dependent claims.
In particular, the object of the invention is achieved by means of a knife pocket including a key blank or a mounted key, such as other utensils, pivotally about a transverse axis of the knife of pocket. The key or key blank is removable and can be separated from the knife for use.

The knife 1 shown in section in Figure 1 consists of a body 10 comprising two spaced parallel ribs, only the rear rib 11 being visible in the figure. The two ribs are generally joined by at minus two transverse axes 12 and 13. Axis 12 serves here as a pivot point of the blade 14 shown halfway out. Other blades or utensils not shown in the figure can be incorporated into the knife 1, and arranged by example so as to be able to pivot around one or other of the axes 12 or 13 or other axes not shown. According to the invention, the knife 1 is provided with a blank 2 intended, after shaping, to form a key. The variant of blank and key illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 includes an opening 22 in the attachment portion 21 allowing to release and remove the blank 2 or the shaped key 23 from the axis 13, and therefore from the body 10.
For this, the blank 2 or the key 23 is partially extended in position perpendicular to the body of the knife. This intermediate position is stabilized by the support of the leaf spring 15 against the end edge 27 of o the key or blank. The key or blank can then be extracted by making it slide along the blade 15 parallel to the axis of the knife towards the center of the knife, until the axis 13 comes out of the opening 22. Figure 2 shows the blank 2 extracted from the body 10 of the knife 1. The blank 2 is therefore removable. It is therefore possible to separate it from the knife to shape it into a key 23 or later to use it independently of the body of the knife 1.
The key blank 2 or the shaped key 23 can be reintroduced into the knife conversely.
Key 23 or key blank 2 can be used either dissociated from knife 1, is completely extracted but still attached to knife 1. The key or the key blank can only be removed in the position intermediate extracted perpendicular to the knife axis. lt is therefore impossible for key 23 or key blank 2 to come off when it is folded back in the knife 1 or using it in the extracted position.
The knife is preferably sold fitted with one or more key blanks 2 unshaped. The buyer can then have it shaped roughing by a specialized workshop in order to obtain a key 23 adapted to the type and number of the corresponding lock. The knife can also be sold or delivered with a shaped key. For example, the knife may be offered to the purchaser of an automobile equipped with the automobile starter key. The key being removable, it can be easily replaced in case of change lock or vehicle.
FIG. 3 illustrates an already shaped key 23, in which the opening 22 is shaped so that the key unhooks from it even when extracted to a position perpendicular to the knife body 1. The key cannot therefore be swiveled into the extension of the knife without dissociating it. Attachment portion 26 and shape of the opening 22 are in this case formed so that the key can be very easily hooked around the transverse axis 13 of the knife, in so that the key can be extracted and reinserted into the knife without any difficulty even with repeated use. This arrangement is advantageous 10 when it is desired to prevent the user from using the key in the extracted position in line with the knife. In the case of a knife fitted with a car starter for example, it is important to avoid users only circulate with the knife 1 inserted at the end of the key in the dashboard, which would pose obvious security concerns in the event accident and could in some cases interfere with the handling of the steering wheel or the gear lever of the automobile.
The key or the key blank is arranged in the examples illustrated with teeth mainly on the external edge of the key in position folded back in the knife. The key could however be arranged in the other direction, with a toothing inside the knife when the key is folded. It is of course also possible to use keys provided with teeth or equivalent organs on both internal and external edges or even on the side faces of the key.
The knife 1 can naturally comprise several blanks 2, respectively several keys 23, arranged around a common axis or around two or more different axes. The knife can be fitted with any type of key, for example a building, vehicle or of any object that can be operated with a key. The key or the key blank can therefore, depending on the intended function, present shapes and very variable characteristics. The key can also be an electronic key or a mixed mechanical and electronic key.
The present invention also relates to keys 23 and key blanks 2 which can be sold or distributed separately and s comprising an attachment portion 21 provided with an opening 22 making it possible to fix them removably on a pocket knife, so that you can pivot around one of the transverse axes 12 or 13.
