Shoe for skates.
The subject of the invention is a shoe for skates comprising a leather upper whose lower edge is folded down and attached to the underside of the first mounting, a heel core and a sole and a finished heel made of overmolded synthetic material.
The shoe according to the invention is intended for all skates, ice skates or roller skates, but more particularly intended for an ice skate for the practice of figure skating.
This type of shoe is the most widely used.
During manufacture, the lower edge of the stem is fully folded down and attached to the underside the first by stapling and gluing. A nucleus in synthetic material intended to constitute the heel is then attached to the first, also by stapling and bonding. The sole is then formed by overmolding of a synthetic material which also ends the heel. The pad is fixed on the front part of the sole and heel by means of screws, possibly replaced by rivets in the front part. During the skating, especially during jumps, an effort significant tearing is exerted on the blade of the skate. With regard to the heel, the blade is usually quite securely attached to the heel for that she can not part with the heel. On the other hand, the pulling force exerted on the sole by the heel is sometimes enough to tear off the heel.
The present invention is specifically intended to increase the resistance of the heel to tearing.
For this purpose, the shoe according to the invention is characterized in that the stem is extended so to partially surround the heel core and that it is attached to this core.
The heel is thus integrated into the stem of the shoe.
The shoe is somehow monolithic and pulling force on the heel is supported almost entirely by the upper of the shoe whose resistance and relatively extensive fixation on the core of the heel give the fixation a resistance high.
The overmoulding of the sole is of course made also around the part of the stem surrounding the core of the heel, so that the shoe according to the invention is not externally distinguishable from a traditional design shoe.
The subject of the invention is also a method of making a skate shoe according to which one makes a leather upper with the edge folded lower on the underside of a first of assembly provided with a heel core, the part is fixed thus folded down the stem on the first, for example by stapling and gluing, then forming a sole and a heel by overmolding a synthetic material, characterized in that an extension of the rod is at the bead core, for example by stapling, before form the sole and the final heel by overmolding.
The attached drawing represents, as an example, a execution of the invention.
FIG. 1 is a side view of a shoe of figure skate before overmolding the sole and the heel.
Figure 2 is a bottom view of the shoe shown in Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a side view of the shoe completed.
The shoe will be described by its method of manufacturing.
We first make a leather rod 1 consisting of two quarters and a rear reinforcement the. The upper has two layers of leather, but distinguishes known rods in that the outer leather has an extension lb down in the region heel. On a first of assembly 2, one fixes first a heel core 3 made of synthetic material hard, such as hard PVC or polyurethane, flap the lower edge of the stem 1 on the underside of the first 2 and we fix the part thus folded at the first 2 by gluing and stapling by means of of staples 4. The extension lb of the stem comes partially surround the nucleus 3, ie on all its rounded part at the back and on the sides.
Part lb is then attached to core 3 by staples 5, the number of which is as it is practically impossible to separate the stem from the core 3 by tearing.
l A sole 6 and. a final heel are then formed by overmoulding of a synthetic material which envelops totally the part lb of the rod and the staples 5.
The interior leather could also be extended and attached to the heel core 3.
The attachment of the rod to the first assembly and the heel core could be done by any other means appropriate.
The heel core could have come from a room with the first mounting, for example by molding a plastic material, which would have the effect of strengthen the monolithic nature of the shoe.
