Abstract

L'invention a pour objet une installation et un procédé pour le traitement d'un gaz contenant du sulfure d'hydrogène. Le gaz (1) est lavé dans une première tour de lavage (5) à l'aide d'un liquide de lavage alcalin et le liquide de lavage résiduaire (4) est traité dans un réacteur aérobie (6) à l'aide d'oxygène en présence de bactéries d'oxydation du soufre. L'effluent (9) provenant du réacteur aérobie (6) est réutilisé comme liquide de lavage (3) et le soufre élémentaire formé pendant le traitement à l'aide de l'oxygène est extrait de l'effluent (19). Ce dernier, dont le soufre a été extrait, est traité dans un réacteur anaérobie (17) à l'aide de bactéries de réduction du sulfate et est renvoyé au réacteur aérobie (6). L'installation et le procédé peuvent également être utilisés pour extraire simultanément du SO2, COS, CS2, NH3 et HCN.
