Abstract
Polyglycols ayant un poids en équivalent OH d'au moins 700 et pouvant être finis à l'aide d'acide hypophosphoreux de sorte que le catalyseur basique résiduel soit éliminé. L'acide hypophosphoreux forme des sels avec les métaux alcalins tels que le potassium, pour produire des sels très peu solubles dans de tels polyglycols. Ces sels forment également de grands cristaux aciculaires faciles à filtrer. Les procédés de finissage de polyglycols mettant en oeuvre l'acide hypophosphoreux permettent de préparer des polyols présentant de faibles concentrations de métaux alcalins, tout en produisant sensiblement moins de déchets solides et liquides que les procédés de finissage traditionnels.
