Abstract

Procédé d'autolyse régulée destiné à rendre des tissus biologiques pratiquement acellulaires par exposition desdits matériaux, avant leur implantation, à au moins une solution tampon ayant un pH de l'ordre d'environ 5,0 à 8,0 et une température de l'ordre d'environ 12 ~C à 30 ~C pendant une durée suffisante pour rendre au moins une région du matériau biologique pratiquement acellulaire, l'intégrité structurale et les éléments structuraux non cellulaires du matériau biologique étant préservés. Un procédé de préparation de bioprothèse de valvule cardiaque à l'aide de matériaux biologiques qui ont été traités par autolyse régulée, et un procédé de traitement d'un mammifère ayant une valvule cardiaque défectueuse à l'aide d'une bioprothèse de valvule cardiaque préparée en partie par autolyse régulée sont également décrits.
