Abstract
An anti-theft device for automated teller machine (A.T.M.) comprises a cross-member to which the A.T.M. is attached by bolts and a bracket. The bracket is bolted to the supporting floor, and the cross-member is attached direct to the bracket by bolts. The construction provides a very low profile support for the A.T.M. which will resist attack for a substantial period of time.

SUMMARY 0~ THE INV !N~10N
Accordin~ly, the present inventio~ provide~ a supporting frame for an au~omated t~ller machine (A.T.M.). The f~ame compri~e~ a cro~-me~er to which t~e A.T.M. can be ~ecured, ~nd a bracket for secu~ing the C~0~8 ~sm~er to the ~loor.
Pxe~erably a pair of sub~tsntially parallel ~ro~-members are provided, and brackets are po~itioned at the oppo~ite ends of the cro~s-members.
Side plates are preferably p~ovide~ to pxevent the entry of ~ork lift truc}c tine~, or the l~ke, in~o ~hs space bslow the A.T.M.
~ery preferably, the cross-member 18 ~scured to the ~acket by a bolt whlch i5 received in ~n elon~ate 610t in ~he cross-mem~er or bracket, ~llowing only ~ery limitsd vertical ~ovement be~ween the cros~-member and br~cke~.
Ths A. T. M. can be mounted directly on t~e ~u~port~ng f~^ame, without the need for the ~arxi~on fra~e.
