Abstract
A pillow has traditionally been used as a head and neck support providing relative comfort in the alignment of the cervical spine while lying on one's back, side or prone position while resting or sleeping. Improvements to the traditional pillow configurations and structures have been made to provide a better positioning of head and neck while lying on the pillow. These changes were made in order to provide a comfortable resting position as well as orthopedically correct alignment for head and neck. To do so a number of curvatures and shapes has been introduced to the traditional pillow structure.
The TRAINING PILLOW is invented by considering these changes as well as addition of a certain considerations to provide the ultimate comfort and orthopaedic support. The fact that each individual has different neck and shoulder size has been ignored in all the pillows invented to this time. It has simply been assumed that one particular pillow size can provide the best support and comfort for every one as long as it provides a certain curvature. Although introducing certain curvatures in a pillow promotes proper head and neck positioning, size of the pillow's height and curvature has determintal rule in achieving comfort and support. Moreover, the position of body and consequently head and neck while lying on the pillow has been also ignored in the previous inventions. They have simply assumed that the same curvature is sufficient for lying supine (on the back), lateral recumbent (on the side) and prone (on the stomach).

Description
2~70915 -SPEC~ATIONS:
The TRAINING PILLC)W is invented by considenng the fact that people with different neck and shoulder size need pillows with d~re. ~ t size and respective cunlature for ~ainin~ the proper pO9itiOtling and 9UppOl't. I'hi~ prob1em has been impro-~ed in the in~ntion of The TRAIN~NG
PILLOW by mcasu~ g head and shoulder size of hundred randomh7 selected people and implementing these measures in combin~d ~ilh the al~tomy and ~iv-mechanics of head~ neck and shoulder.
The TRAINING PILLOW is invented by also considering the ract that peopie sleep in di~erent positio~s ~supLne, lateral recllmbent or prone) ;more~ver~ they coulcl also ha~,e dif~erellt sleeping patterns(with respect to l~a~ing a r estf`u~ ur restless sleep and thus moving around the bed while s1eeping). These facts ha~e been addressed in invention of the T~ J PILLOW bv obsel~ing and recording different sleeping patterns.
The TRAINING PILLOW is made in a shape of square rather than the con~,entional rectangular shape. Ihis square shape gives four sides with equal length. ~is change in the basic shape of pillow pro~/ides four choices(rather than two choices offered in rect-~n~ r shape pillows~ for the user of the pillow. Moreover~ each side of the square shaped pillow has slightly dif~erent me~uled height which gives four choices of hei~t for the user to chvose with respect to hisJher neck and shoulder size.
The TRAINING PILLOW has a semi-circular concave curvature in the middle third of each of it's four sides which is proportioned with that side's height. This curvature allows a resting position for the neck when th~ body i~ in supine position. Mvreov,er~ on either side of the concave curvature there is a resting position for lhe head and neck to be placed while the ~ser has turned to hisfher left or right side and is ir lateral recumbent position.
The TR~SlNlNG PILLOW has a slightly indented circul~r centre on the top which provides a comfortable positioning i`or the head as the user is in supine position. This circular indentation combined with the ~ ions of the semi-circwlar conca~e curvatures of each side produces the proper anatomical positioning for the head and neck in supine position.
The TRAINING PILLOW has combined the central indentation, semi-circular concave cllrvatures, extension of the serni-circular concave curvatures and the four different heights offered by the square shape of tllis pillow. These combinations give different choices of height, size and curvature to the user so helshe can select the iight comblnation ~ith his/her body ~ize and pattem of sleep ~supine, lateral recumbent or prone).

Claims
The physical characteristics of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
The said invention is characterised by an orthopaedic cervical pillow having a flat square base with flat smooth side walls.
If viewed from the top, the TRAINI PILLOW is in the shape of a square(having four sides of equal length), with a circular indentation in the centre and semi-circular indented curvatures in the middle third of each side. Besides the mentioned overall curvatures of the top side, the top's surface is completely covered by crowded, upstanding rounded conical pockets which is being abruptly terminated at the side walls.
If viewed from the side(while all four sides are equal in length), each side of the TRAINING
PILLOW has a slightly different height with a slightly different indented semi-circular curve in its middle third.
All measurements and dimensions have been included with the accompanying drawings.
Proportional augmentations and reductions of these measurements are intended to be protected by the patent registration as well as approximations to the TRAINING PILLOW'S configuration with obvious intent to embody the TRAINING PILLOW'S patent.
