Abstract
Un décodeur absolu comprend une échelle de mesure (1) ayant au moins une piste et une pluralité de détecteurs analogiques (47, 48) pour la piste. La sortie de chaque détecteur est modulée par la piste pour générer une pluralité de signaux analogiques multiphasés cycliques non sinusoïdaux à partir des détecteurs et indiquant la position relative des détecteurs et de l'échelle de mesure. Les signaux multiphasés sont convertis en forme numérique (50, 51) et ajoutés ou soustraits (58) de manière conditionnelle afin d'obtenir une sortie qui augmente linéairement en proportion à la position des détecteurs par rapport à l'échelle de mesure.
