A decorative plastic Christmas tree stand covering with bough needle catch tray and built in disposal system.
Description
~ 2166814 Specification This invention relates to the problems of Christmas tree bough needle control throughout the Christmas season and disposal of said tree at the end of the season without your floor or carpet becoming covered or imbedded with dry bough needles.
~ ~ 216~14 (2) Description:
Place tray FIG-l over Christmas tree stand and push down on plastic slits E so that tree tightening bolts are above center hole D . Tighten bolts against tree trunk. The tray is now in place and may be watered through oversized center hole D
or slits E if tree trunk diameter is larger than 4 inches. When it is time to dispose of your tree you simply loosen tree stand bolts and reach under outer edge of tray A and roll plastic bag B up around tree FIG-4 and pull drawstring F tight and tie so that disposal bag is tight over top of tree thus enclosing tree completely in plastic bag B. Your tree is then ready to lift out of stand and carried by trunk and top of bag FIG-4 or laid on its side and dragged out of residence for disposal.
In drawings which illustrate embodiments of the in-vention, FIG-l illustrates the device in its ready to use state.
FIG-2 shows a~side cut-away view, FIG-3 shows a top view and FIG-4 shows the device in its closed or ready for disposal state.

Claims.
I have found that these disadvantages may be overcome by taking a large, round plastic circle with raised center which is shaped somewhat like a trumpet cone with a mushroom top and a raised edge around the outside diameter which holds a plastic cylinder shaped disposal bag, rolled and sealed under raised outer edge. The mushroom top and cone shape allows the dry bough needles to slide down the surface , where they come to rest against the raised outer edge. The protruding mushroom shaped edge around the top of the cone keeps the bough needles from sliding back up the cone and falling out the tree trunk hole when the bag is rolled up for disposal. The top of the disposal bag has a built in drawstring which is pulled tight and knotted when you are ready to dispose of tree, thereby sealing tree and collected bough needles in disposal system.
