Abstract

The invention concerns a process for packaging compressed garments, furnishing articles and like, comprising the steps of: folding the article in a substantially elongated shape; rolling up the so folded article; introducing the folded and rolled up article in a die of a press; subjecting the article to a mechanical pressure; extracting the article from the die; and packaging the so obtained article. The invention also concerns the articles obtained by the above process.

Description

`- 2158000 PROCESS FOR PACKAGING COMPRESSED GARMENTS
FURNISHING ARTICLES AND LIKE AND ARTICLES
REALIZED BY SAID PROCESS

The prese, It invention concerns a p, ocess for packaging ~""~ressed garments fumishing articles and like.
The invention also relates to the articles obtained by the process according to the invention.
The solution p,oposed accor.lin5a to the invention provides improve, nen~s with r~speul to two specific problems.
Particularly we refer to the problems of lack space always more diffused today either for the storing of the products at the factory with the wholesaler or with the retailer and for the l,anspo,l of the products from one place to another.
The other aspect hat is faced up by the ~resent invention refers to the always bigger needing of having new and original systems for the p,ol"~tion of the product or for the promotion of other products by the adve, lisi"g or some gadget~.
~urther the sc' ~tion accordin~ to the present invention allows to obtain a pachay;~ ,y process far more fast with n3spect to the presenl packaging p(ocesses particularly avoiding with ,espe.t to the traditional process the ironing and enveloping steps.
In view of the above the solution su~gesl~ accordi,)g to the p~se,d invention allows to realize co""~ressed pacl<aged articles in a - 25 very easy way with a remarkable reduction of the final volume.~~
- ~ Further the solution according to the present invention allows to have advertising ele,nents very interesting both for the pro" ,olion of the same article and for the p,u",otion of other products and/or services.
It is ll ,er~fore specific object of the prese"t invention a process for packaging co",pressed ~a,l"ents fumishing articles and like c~,n~,risi"g the steps of:
folding the article in a sul,~l~.)lially elongated shape;
-~ . rolling up the so folded article;
. introducing the folded and rolled up article in a die of a press;
subjecting the article to a mechanical pressure;
extracting the article from the die; and , . packaging the so obtained article.
. .

-- ~ 2158000 r,-ererably, acoording to the invention, after said article extraction step from the press, above and below the co"lp,essed article, two paper based material elements are provided.
Always according to the invention, said packaging step of the article is pelr~""ed employing then"os)"i,l'(able ",dte,ials, prefera~ly ll ,e, I"osh, inl;a~le polypropylene.
Still according to the invention, said mechanical pressure is applied by a hydraulic, oleodynamic, pneumatic, etc. piston.
Said die wherein the article is inserted for the pressure can have a the desired shape, particularly rounded, triangular, square, r~1tan~ular, etc.
As already said, they are also object of the present invention C the articles obtained by the above process.
Particularly, said artides can comprise ga,l"ents, like T-shirts, pants, brassieres, bands, handkerchiefs etc., or towels, sheets, table-cloths, wipers etc.
rleferably, according to the invention, said article is made by 1 00% cotton.
the present invention will be now described, for illustrative but not l,.,~itati.le purposes, accord;ng to its ~,efe,re~l embodi",~nts, with particular reference to the enclosed drawings, wherein:
figures 1a - 1d show a ga""enl during the various steps of the process accorcJi"g to the invention; and figures 2a - 2 b respectively show, from the above and laterally, - 25 a packaged article according to the invention.
~- In the enclosed drawings, reference will be made to a T-shirt, but it is to be understood that the same applies to any other article obtained by the process according the invention.
Observing now figures 1a - 1d, it can be noted a T-shirts 1 30 opened (hgure 1 a), that is then folded (figure 1b), so as to take the subsla"lially elongated shape 2.
Subsequently, the T-shirt is rolled up (figure 1c), so as to take the shape 3, and introduced within a die (not shown).
Here the T-shirt is subjected to pressure, until reaching he 35 shape 4 of figure 1 d.
The amount of the pressure deterrnines the co"lpression of the T-Shirt, and consequently the saving of volume.

After having been exl d~,t~J from the die, two pape, boa~ d discs are applied, the upper one 5 can be seen in figure 2a, and then the article is pac~aged using U~e""oal"~ ;able polypropylene, obtai,)i"g the product 6 of figure 2b.
S The ~,ape, L,oard disc 5 realize a very inter~sling adve, lising means since they allow to provide any kind of wriffen " ,essage, and can be easily modified.
Further, they can be a gadget, for example under gl~sses and like.
The p, ~se"t invention has been des~ iL,ed for illustrative, but not limitative pu,l,oses, acco,ding to its pr~ued e,nbo~ "en~a, but it is to ~ndel alOod the modifications andJor changes can be introduced by those C skilled in the art without departing from the relevant scope, as defi~ ,ed by the enclos~ claims.
