A strip of double-Y,ided adhesive l~lpe is positioned and a~tached over the seam of the f~bric that is centered c>n one side of the body.
' 2127768 The invention, as exemplified by a preferred embodiment, is described with reference to the drawings in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a sweat band of the invention; and Figure 2 is a top view of the sweat band shown in Figure 1.
Referring to the drawings, the embodiment of the invention shown, a sweat band 1 comprises a tubular shape of dense terry cloth fabric 2. The seam 3 is covered with a 3/4 inch strip of double-sided adhesive tape 4 running the full length of the body.
The fabric 2 is of 22 ounce dense terry cloth which is absorbant, washable and may be re-used a number of times. The adhesive tape 4 is centered over the seam 3 and secured in place. The sweat band 1 is flexible so as to mold to the inside of any type of headgear.
A feature of the sweat band of the invention is its ability to fasten and unfasten from headgear a number of times f or re-use. Another advantage of the sweat band is its absorbancy and ease of cleaning.
To unfasten the article from the headgear, one need only pull one end gently from its position inside the headgear.
