Abstract

The invention relates to acid addition salts of bases of formula I
wherein A, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, X and Z are as defined in the description, with an acid [PA]
that is a mono- or poly-protic acid selected from carbonic acid, alkanoic acids that are unsubstituted or mono- or poly-substituted, with the exception of formic acid, unsubstit-uted acetic acid, lysine and arginine; alkenoic acids that are unsubstituted or substituted, with the exception of unsubstituted fumaric acid; cycloalkylcarboxylic acids, aryl-carboxylic acids, aryl-lower alkylcarboxylic acids, wherein lower alkyl is unsubstituted or substituted, aryl-lower alkenylcarboxylic acids, heterocyclylcarboxylic acids, alkane-sulfonic acids that are unsubstituted or substituted, with the exception of unsubstituted methanesulfonic acid; aromaticsulfonic acids, alkylsulfuric acids, N-substituted sulfamic acids, organic acids without carboxy, sulfo, sulfate or phospho groups, and also selected from pyrophosphoric acid and hydriodic acid; and tautomers thereof. The acid addition salts are used in the treatment of disorders that respond to inhibition of S-adenosyl-methionine decarboxylase.
