Abstract

L'acier à emboutissabilité améliorée est caractérisé en ce qu'il contient du carbone dans une proportion inférieure à 0,015 %, du manganèse dans une proportion de 0,15 a 0,25 % du soufre dans une proportion inférieure à 0,012 % et de l'aluminium dans une proportion inférieure à 0,04 %. Cet acier est destine à la fabrication de tôles minces destinées à l'emboutissage, selon un procédé comportant notamment les opérations suivantes : - élaboration en convertisseur d'un acier ayant la composition ci-dessus ; - laminage à chaud entièrement en domaine austénitique ; - bobinage a une température supérieure à 650.degree.C ; - recuit continu, après laminage à froid, à une température inférieure à 700.degree.C.
