Abstract
A double level drainage system for roofs flat, horizontal or slightly sloping, comprising two drains, the upper one located on the upper plane of the roof at the waterproofing membrane, the other lower, fitted a valve and located on the plane of the vapor barrier membrane; a self-draining insulation panel with a network of channels sloping uni- or multidirectional in its upper face and a network of channels in its underside, which communicate with each other by a channel through the thickness of the insulating panel or formed at the panel joints juxtaposed insulators; the upper drain allows the drainage of the water flowing over the waterproofing membrane while the upper and lower channel networks, as well as the pipe and lower drain allow drainage out of the roof of infiltrated water under the waterproofing membrane when it is no longer perfectly waterproof, thus avoiding deterioration of the insulation and the accumulation of water which cause serious roof overloading problems.
