DISCLOSURE
This invention relates to a manually operable handle for hygienically lifting upand putting down a toilet seat that can be soiled and unclean from constant private and public use.
In previous inventions of this sort there appear to be drawbacks. Some of the aforenamed patents, of which I have a list, were not detachable, thus making the cleaning of said inventions more difficult and less hygienic, as some parts would be virtually impossible to reach for cleaning and disinfecting purposes.
Other disadvantages seen were that some of the inventions used metallic parts, such as balls and coil springs, thereby inviting rust and corrosion.
To overcome these disadvantages, I have invented a handle which effectively and easily attaches and detaches tO and from a simple support assembly by which both parts are easily accessible for cleaning and disinfecting, thus promoting a healthier bathroom atmosphere.
The construction of my invention employs injected polypropylene or better equivalent plastic, thereby eliminating the use of any metal parts so one does not need to contend with rust or corrosion to hinder the said operable handle.
In drawings which illustrate embodiments of the invention:
Fig. 1 is a cross æction of the handle which is attached and detached from its support assembly.
Fig. 2 is a cross section of the support assembly which is permanently affixed to the underside.
Fig. 3 is the top view of the handle showing the centerline from which the cross sectional view is taken.
Fig. 4 is the top view of the support assembly showing the centerline from which the cross sectional view is taken.
The handle illustrated 1 is comprised of a circular head 3 which is a complemen-tary connecting member interlocking tightly with the circular flange support assembly 5.
It can, however, be rotated to different angles horizontally for convenience sake. The support flange 5 is tightly secured to the underside of a toilet seat by self-tapping screws 7, or by a self stick-on adhesive tape. One merely joins handle 1 to circular ~lange 5 by pushing it in place so that the handle sticks out past the toilet bowl horizontally, giving easy access for lifting. To disconnect, simply pull off.

Bumpers 8 are included with the invention to protect the support assembly fig. 4.
They are attached by self-stick adhesive to the outer sides of the support assembly, fig. 4, onto the toilet seat near to, but not on, the assembly.
Other concepts of my invention are in the ways in which one may utilize it.
a) As a gendeman's reminder - to lift the seat by means of a handle, which is more sanitary than the seat itself; also to encourage him to replace dle seat after use so that ladies who follow will not be met with the task of having to replace the seat so as not to fall into the toilet bowl.
b) As an objective aid for proper toilet training of young males between the ages of two and five. It can be made appealing to this age group, thereby making toilet training effortless and more fun.
c) In versatility it could be attached to the sides of a kitty litter tray, thus making dhe task of cleaning and carrying more hygienic. One would be more inclined to feel it was germ-free, compared to grabbing onto the bare sides of the now handleless kitty litter trays.
