Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape and configuration of the cutting insert as shown in the drawings; the first variant of the cutting insert presents a corner section of the cutting insert having symmetrical front and rear generally triangular corner portions with a central portion of the corner section of the cutting insert situated between the generally triangular portions and following the contour of the generally triangular corner portions; the central portion of the corner section of the cutting insert extends away from the generally triangular corner portions and merges into the remaining corner section of the cutting insert having a stepped area along each side edge thereof; a thin layer-like portion separates the generally triangular corner portions from the adjacent central portion of the corner section of the cutting insert.The second variant of the cutting insert presents a corner section of the cutting insert having symmetrical front and rear pairs of generally triangular corner portions with a central portion of the corner section of the cutting insert situated between the generally triangular pairs of corner portions and following the contour of the generally triangular pairs of corner portions; the central portion of the corner section of the cutting insert extends away from the generally triangular pairs of corner portions and merges into the remaining corner section of the cutting insert having a stepped area along each side edge thereof; a thin layer-like portion separates the generally triangular pairs of corner portions from the adjacent central portion of the corner section of the cutting insert.The stippled lines in the drawings do not form part of the present design.
