Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration, ornamentation and pattern of the ballpoint pen as shown in the drawings; the ballpoint pen with the cap section is symmetrical and presents an elongated generally cylindrical central section, a domed transparent right end portion, and a cap section in place in a first position; the domed right end portion has a recessed star design therein; the cap section has a generally cylindrical section and two pair of spaced-apart crescent-like areas which are situated on the upper and lower surfaces of the cap section close to the left end thereof; the cap section has a transparent left end portion having an angled side surface and a curved lower edge in top and bottom views; the transparent left end portion merges into the end of an elongated clip which extends axially part way along the length of and spaced above the generally cylindrical surface of the cap section; the elongated clip has beveled sides and a slightly arched outer surface and terminates in an inwardly extending protuberance which touches the surface of the cap section; With the ballpoint pen in an extended position, the ballpoint pen presents a generally cylindrical left end section adjacent the central section; the generally cylindrical left end section presents a pattern of generally parallel spaced-apart wavy lines extending around the generally cylindrical section throughout the length thereof; the generally cylindrical left end section merges into a circumferential grooved section which in turn merges into a generally frusto-conical end section having three identical longitudinally extending bullet-shaped recessed areas therein having angled side surfaces.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a left front perspective view of the design of the ballpoint pen with the cap section in place in a first position;Fig. 2 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a bottom view thereof;Fig. 4 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 5 is a left end view thereof;Fig. 6 is a right end view thereof;Fig. 7 is a front elevation view of the ballpoint pen with the cap section in an extended position; andFig. 8 is a bottom view of the ballpoint pen with the cap section in an extended position.Diagrams of the design are included.
