Description
~L33l~5 The present invention relates to a drawplate adapted to be disassembled, to be used in machines for making pasta which plate comprises a pair of elements properly aligned, whose parts have such form and disposition to provide the drawplate with particularly useful features.
Conventional drawplates are usually obtained from a single main body which contains holes for the passage of paste.
These drawplates are difficult to clear and -to maintain. The paste, in fact, during the extrusion into the desired shape is pushed strongly against the drawplate body, thus packing and blocking the holes as the paste gets harder. The gaps of the drawplates, which are usually difficult to clean even immediately after the end of pasta production, represent a serious difficulty in the cleaning of the drawpla-te if, by any reason, the paste is allowed to harden.
Drawplates are known which comprise a combination of different elements. In order to make the operation of maintenance easy and simple to perform, the invention provides a drawplate of a type which can be combined with a conventional die plate by means of a threaded ring and comprises two disk-shaped elements coupled together, the first one being provided with solid bodies of circular cross section extending out of one of its faces, the second one being crossed by holes which axe the seats with play for the said solid bodies of the first disk-shaped element. The drawplate has the particular characteristic that the first disk-shaped element is crossed by holes, coaxial with the said solid bodies, of diameter larger than the latter~ The positioning of said solid bodies relative to each hole and the relative position be-tween the first and the second disk shaped element are obtained by means of ribs located at the base of the holes of the first element. The drawplate according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the ~,~

~L3~ 7r;
openings for the passage of the paste drawn through its body are defined by the free space bounded by the said ribs and the periphery of the holes in the first element, and by the adjacent profiles of the circular solid bodies and of the holes of truncated cone shape of the second element.
The present invention will be ~urther illustrated by way of the accompanying drawings in which:-Fig. 1 is a front view of the drawplate for the production of hollow pasta such as macaroni, according to one embodiment of the present invention taken from the pasta exit side;
E`ig. 2 is an exploded view of a section of the drawplate taken along the line II - II of Fig. l;
Fig. 3 is a three-dimensional illustration of the first disk-shaped element as seen from the side of the protruding solid bodies;
~` Fig. 4 is a front view of the second disk-shaped element, as seen from the inside face of entry of the paste from the extruder to the drawplate;
Referring to the Figures, the~drawplate 1 is produced ` by coupling the disk-shaped elements 2 and 3. The disk-shaped - element 2 comprises a disk 4 provided with a rim 4' made of plastic material or light metal. The disk-shaped element 2 is provided with solid bodies 5 of essentially cylindrical form, ; as well as holes 6. Said bodies 5 are coaxially positioned relative to holes 6 and protrude from the face of disk 4. They are held in place by ribs 7, usually three or four in number, which extend out from the said face of disk 4 together with cylindrical bodies 5. The disk-shaped element 3 is composed of disk 8 provided with rim 8'. Disk 8 has holes 9 of truncated cone shape. The coupled disk-shaped elements,aS shown in Fig. 2 form and complete the drawplate 1. The cylindrical bodies 5 ~L~3~7~) of the disk-shaped element 2 enter into holes 9 of truncated cone shape of the disk--shaped element 3 through the larger section of the holes until ribs 7 touch the internal wall of said holes 9. The ribs, besides locating the solid bodies 5, maintain each body 5 straight during extrusion. They also align the disk-shaped elements 2 and 3, to form the desired structure.
Such structure is the drawplate according to the invention, and determines the interspaces 10 between the adjacent surfaces of cylindrical bodies 5 and holes 9.
The drawplate 1 can be used with any conventional machine for producing different kinds of pasta, by means of a threaded ring cooperating with rims 4' and 8' of elements 2 and 3, respectively. The paste enters the drawplate from the side where the holes of disk-shaped element 2 are located. After passing through the holes and entering into drawplate 3, the paste is first cut by ribs 7 and then channeled through inter-spaces 10 where it recombines into the shape of the finished product.
During cleaning operations, elements 2 and 3 can be easily separated by acting upon the end part of hodies 5 from the outside of the drawplate. In the structure described, the drawplate is provided with four holes 9 and four bodies 5, ;~ but clearly the number of such parts can vary according to the size of the re~uired pasta and of the area of the drawplate.
Drawplates are known which comprise a combination of different elements. In order to make the operation of maintenance easy and simple to perform, the invention provides a drawplate of a type which can be combined with a conventional die plate by means of a threaded ring and comprises two disk-shaped elements coupled together, the first one being provided with solid bodies of circular cross section extending out of one of its faces, the second one being crossed by holes which axe the seats with play for the said solid bodies of the first disk-shaped element. The drawplate has the particular characteristic that the first disk-shaped element is crossed by holes, coaxial with the said solid bodies, of diameter larger than the latter~ The positioning of said solid bodies relative to each hole and the relative position be-tween the first and the second disk shaped element are obtained by means of ribs located at the base of the holes of the first element. ~` Fig. 4 is a front view of the second disk-shaped element, as seen from the inside face of entry of the paste from the extruder to the drawplate;
In the structure described, the drawplate is provided with four holes 9 and four bodies 5, ;~ but clearly the number of such parts can vary according to the size of the re~uired pasta and of the area of the drawplate.
