FUNDAMENTOS DA INVENÇÃO Campo da invenção Materiais compósitos tendo propriedades de amortecimento acústico e vibracional são divulgados. Em particular, materiais compósitos que contêm uma interfolha viscoelástica são úteis, por exemplo, em estruturas encontradas em aeronaves, tais como revestimentos, vigas e armações de fuselagem. Também considerados são métodos de fabricar o material —compósitoe as estruturas e aeronaves que contêm o material compósito. Descrição da Técnica Relacionada Compósitos de matriz polimérica reforçados com fibra (PMCs) são materiais estruturais de alto desempenho que são comumente usados em aplicações que requerem resistência a ambientes agressivos, resistência alta, e/ou peso baixo. Exemplos de tais aplicações incluem componentes de aeronave (por exemplo, caudas, asas, fuselagens, hélices), cascos de barcos, e armações de bicicletas. PMCs podem compreender camadas de fibras que são ligadas juntas com um material de matriz, tal como uma resina polimérica. As fibras reforçam a matriz, que porta a maioria da carga sustentada pelo — compósito, enquanto a matriz porta uma porção em minoria da carga sustentada pelo compósito e também transfere a carga das fibras quebradas para as fibras intactas. Desta maneira, PMCs podem suportar cargas maiores do que a matriz ou a fibra podem suportar sozinhas. Claims (9)

REIVINDICAÇÃO
1. Material compósito estrutural curado ou não curado, caracterizado pelo fato de que compreende um componente estrutural em uma forma de uma pluralidade — decamadas de fibrastêxtil que compreende fibras estruturais; um componente de resina de termocura; e uma interfolha viscoelástica posicionada entre um par de camadas de fibras têxtil adjacente, dita interfolha viscoelástica compreendendo pelo menos uma camada fina de material não tecido, que é compreendido de fibras elastoméricas termoplásticas; em que a interfolha viscoelástica e o componente estrutural são parcial ou completamente impregnados com o componente de resina de termocura; e em que o componente de resina tem uma temperatura de transição vítrea (Tg) que é maior do que aquela da interfolha viscoelástica.
2. Material compósito estrutural de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que o componente de resina compreende um epóxido.
3. Material compósito estrutural de acordo com a reivindicação 1,caracterizado pelo fato de que as fibras estruturais compreendem fibras de carbono.
4. Material compósito estrutural de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que a interfolha viscoelástica é completamente impregnada com o componente de resina de termocura.
5. Material compósito estrutural de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que as fibras elastoméricas termoplásticas no material não tecido são feitas de pelo menos um polímero selecionado do grupo consistindo em elastômeros termoplásticos estirênicos, poliolefinas elastoméricas e uma combinação destes.
6. Material compósito estrutural de acordo com a reivindicação i 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que o material não tecido compreende um elastômero termoplástico estirênico que é um copolímero de bloco tendo um segmento elastomérico com uma Tg mais baixa e segmentos estirênicos com —Tgmaisalto,eque forma uma estrutura separada de microfase na temperatura ambiente.
7. Material compósito estrutural de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que a interfolha viscoelástica é tratada por plasma para obter uma tensão superficial de pelo menos 35 dina/em (0,00035 N/cm)em ambos os lados.
8. Estrutura em sanduíche de compósito curada ou não curada, caracterizada pelo fato de que compreende um primeiro revestimento e um segundo revestimento; e um núcleo estrutural entre o primeiro revestimento e o segundo revestimento; em que cada um dos primeiro e segundo revestimentos compreende uma pluralidade de camadas de fibras têxtil compreendendo fibras estruturais, uma interfolha viscoelástica posicionada entre um par de camadas de fibras têxtil adjacente e um componente de resina termocurado, em que a interfolha viscoelástica compreende pelo menos uma camada fina de material não tecido que é compreendida de fibras elastoméricas termoplásticas, e o componente de resina de termocura tem uma temperatura de transição vítrea (Tg) que é maior do que aquela da interfolha viscoelástica, e em que a interfolha viscoelástica e as camadas de fibras têxtil são parcialmente ou completamente impregnadas com o componente de resina de termocura.
9. Estrutura em sanduíche de compósito curada ou não curada de acordo com a reivindicação 8, caracterizada pelo fato de que a interfolha viscoelástica é revestida pelo menos em um lado com uma formulação de adesivo estrutural.
