An improved diesel fuel based on a blend of biodiesel and ultra low sulfur diesel fuel, particularly with a fuel additive containing a loaded fuel catalyst (FBC) containing concentrate. The catalyst will preferably comprise platinum, and / or cerium and / or iron, and an ultra low sulfur diesel fuel that will preferably contain less than 10% aromatics. Biodiesel is typically employed in an amount of about 20% of the mixture.
