Abstract
PROCESSO DE TRATAMENTO DE RESìDUOS SóLIDOS ATRAVéS DE COMPOSTAGEM POR AERAçãO FORçADA ACELERADA é descrito um processo de tratamento de resíduos sólidos através de compostagem por aeração forçada acelerada que compreende as etapas de separação e triagem dos resíduos sólidos; acondicionamento da fração orgânica em módulos fechados para estabilização e higienização, dita fração orgânica mantida entre 20 á 30 dias, a uma temperatura em torno de 90<198>C; injeção de ar e água nos módulos fechados para promover a decomposição aeróbica da matéria orgânica, secagem do lixo orgânico e eliminação dos contaminantes e odores; peneiração da matéria orgânica e triagem do lixo não- degradável; transferência da matéria orgânica para o ar livre para a fase de maturação, que compreende o esfriamento e a eliminação dos gases remanescentes, ficando entre 5 a 10 dias e prensagem do lixo não-degradável e disposição em um aterro final, ou opcionalmente o lixo não degradável sendo incinerado por combustão, com lavagem dos gases.
