Abstract

FILTRO DE SEGURANçA RETINIANO DE COMPENSAçãO DE COR. A invenção refere-se a um filtro e a um método para filtrar um feixe ótico. Uma modalidade do filtro é um filtro ótico para filtrar um feixe de luz incidente, que compreende um material otícamente eficiente caracterizado por: uma transmítâncía de luz menor do que 1 % para os comprimentos de onda abaixo de 420 nm; e uma transmitância de luz para os comprimentos de onda complementares aos comprimentos de onda abaixo de 420 nm que, combinada com a transmítância para os comprimentos de onda abaixo de 420 nm, gerará um feixe de luz filtrado que tem uma luminosidade de aproximadamente 90% e uma pureza de excitação de 5% ou menos. Os comprimentos de onda complementares podem ser os comprimentos de onda acima de aproximadamente 640 nm, os comprimentos de onda acima de aproximadamente 660 nm, e/ou os comprimentos de onda de aproximadamente 540 nm a aproximadamente 560 nm. Ainda, em uma modalidade, a diferença entre a transmítância de luz logo abaixo de 420 nm e a transmitância de luz logo acima de 420 nm pode ser maior do que 90% Acima de 420 nm, em algumas modalidades, a transmítâncía de luz pode ser arbitrariamente determinada. O material oticamente eficiente pode ser um vidro de grau ótico, um plástico ou polímero de grau ótico, um revestimento dielétrico de filme fino, ou um vidro ou plástico de grau ótico revestido com um revestimento dielétríco. O filtro ótico pode estar montado a jusante de uma abertura de saida de fonte de iluminação, em que a fonte de iluminação produz o feixe de luz incidente, e a montante de um local a ser iluminado pelo feixe de luz filtrado.
