Abstract
AGENTE INIBIDOR DA HIDRATAçãO DE XISTO E MéTODO DE USO. Um fluido de perfuração para uso em poços subterrâneos que penetra através de uma formação subterrânea contendo um xisto que intumesce na presença de água. O fluido de perfuração inclui uma fase contínua de base aquosa e um agente inibidor de hidratação de xisto. Um agente inibidor de hidratação de xisto ilustrativo é, de preferência, o produto de uma reação de hidrogenação do produto da reação de uma amina aromática com um aldeido, de preferência formaldeido. Como alternativa, o agente inibidor de hidratação de xisto pode ser o produto de uma reação de hidrogenação do produto da reação de anilina e formaldeido. Em uma modalidade ilustrativa, o agente inibidor de hidratação de xisto é selecionado dentre a classe de compostos conhecidos como aminas policicloalifáticas. O agente inibidor de hidratação de xisto está presente em uma concentração suficiente para reduzir substancialmente o intumescimento dos cascalhos de xisto em contato com o fluido.
