Abstract
APARELHO DE CODIFICAçãO ESCALONáVEL MéTODO DE CODIFICAçãO ESCALONáVEL. A presente invenção refere-se a um aparelho de codificação escalonável onde sinais de áudio em estéreo podem ser codificados de forma escalonável pelo uso de uma codificação de CELP para melhoria da eficiência de codificação. No aparelho, um adicionador (101) e um multiplicador (102) obtêm uma média de um primeiro e de um segundo sinais de canal (CH1, CH2) como um sinal monofónico (M). Uma parte de codificação de CELP (103) realiza uma codificação de CELP do sinal monofónico (M). Uma primeira parte de codificação de informação de diferença de canal (104) realiza uma codificação do primeiro sinal de canal (CH1) em conformidade com a codificação de CELP e obtém uma diferença entre um parâmetro codificado resultante e um parâmetro codificado extraído a partir da parte de codificação de CELP (103). A primeira parte de codificação de informação de diferença de canal (104) então codifica esta diferença e extrai o parâmetro codificado resultante.
