Abstract

PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE UM POLIOL DE POLIURETANO. A presente invenção proporciona um processo para a preparação de um poliol de poliuretano a partir de cardanol, derivado a partir de um líquido da casca de noz de caju, um material que é um recurso renovável. O poliol é feito por meio da oxidação com ácido peróxi gerado in situ para fornecer cardanol epoxidado e o referido derivado de epóxi é convertido ao poliol na presença de um ácido orgânico. De acordo com um outro aspecto da presente invenção o poliol com base em cardanol formado por meio deste método inovador desta invenção pode ser reagido com um isocianato para formar poliuretano. Alternativamente agentes de sopro são incluídos com o poliol com base em cardanol antes do mesmo ser reagido com o isocianato. Estes polióis são especialmente adequados para a fabricação de uma espuma rígida com uma densidade bastante baixa e com uma alta potência de compressão.
