Abstract
COMPOSIçõES NãO TECIDAS E PRODUTOS E MéTODOS RELACIONADOS. A presente invenção, em eterminadas modalidades, está voltada para um substrato catalítico, apropriado para uso em diversas aplicações, inclusive como substrato em um conversor catalítico. Ouro aspecto da présente invenção é um substrato de filtração, apropriado para uso diversas aplicações, inclusive como substrato em um filtro de partículas, tal como um filtro de partículas de diesel (DPF) ou coletor de partículas de diesel (DPT). A invenção também põe á disposição um substrato aperfeiçoado para remover e/ou eliminar poluentes do escamento de motores de combustão. O substrato catalítico e substrato de filtração oferecem, em determinadas modalidades, aperfeiçoamentos na remoção de poluentes de um gás de escapamento. Os aperfeiçoamentos incluem um ou mais dos seguintes: período de light-off mais rápido, filtração profunda de PM, menos contracorrente, menor probabilidade de obstrução, aptidão para ser colocado em múltiplos lugares no sistema de escapamento, inclusive no tubo de escapamento ou na própria cabeça, alta probabilidade de reação catalítica, altas proporções de conversão de NOx, HC e CO, uma queima mais rápida de PM, minimização do uso de material de catalisador e similar.NON-FABRIC COMPOSITIONS AND RELATED PRODUCTS AND METHODS. The present invention in certain embodiments is directed to a catalytic substrate suitable for use in a variety of applications, including as a substrate in a catalytic converter. One aspect of the present invention is a filtration substrate suitable for use in a variety of applications, including as a substrate in a particulate filter, such as a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or diesel particulate collector (DPT). The invention also provides an improved substrate for removing and / or eliminating pollutants from combustion engine drainage. The catalytic substrate and filtration substrate offer, in certain embodiments, improvements in the removal of pollutants from an exhaust gas. Improvements include one or more of the following: faster light-off period, deep PM filtration, less backcurrent, lower likelihood of obstruction, ability to be placed in multiple places in the exhaust system, including the exhaust pipe or in-house head, high probability of catalytic reaction, high conversion rates of NOx, HC and CO, faster PM burning, minimization of catalyst material use and the like.
