TESTE DE LINHA DE TELEFONE PARA DETERMINAR TAXA DE LICENçA DO MODEM é proporcionado, em uma Caixa Decodificadora (STB) possuindo um modem licenciado e estando conectada com uma cabeça de rede através de uma linha telefónica, um método para proporcionar informação de taxa de licenciamento para o modem.Um teste de comunicações (220) é executado para determinar uma velocidade máxima de comunicação na qual o modem pode ser operado em uma configuração corrente. A velocidade máxima de comunicação determinada pelo teste de comunicações é enviada (240A) para uma entidade remota para uso ao determinar a taxa de licenciamento para o modem.
