Abstract

"PROCESSO E CATALISADOR APERFEIçOADOS PARA PRODUZIR MATERIAIS DE NANOCARBONO COM ALTA SELETIVIDADE E REDUZIDAS TEMPERATURAS DE REAçãO". A presente inenção refere-se a um sistema de nanofibras de carbono é sintetizado com pureza (acima de 95%), seletividade da morfologia do carbono muito altas e rendimento excepcionalmente alto. Um catalisador feito sob medida com um tamanho de partícula <243>10 nm e uma alta área superficial (>50 m¬ 2¬/g), proporciona seletividade morfológica mais alta. A reatividade dessas partículas de catalisador é mantida mesmo após 24 horas de reação de tal modo que o rendimento exceda 200 g de carbono por grama de catalisador. Os catalisadores que são chaves para os produtos e rendimentos obtidos são preparados de acordo com parâmetros específicos (distribuição de tamanho, composição e cristalinidade) especificados e via um processo de síntese por chama conforme ensinado na Patente Americana No. 6.132.653.
