Abstract
"APARELHO PARA PROVER MEDIçãO REMOTA DE NìVEL DE SATURAçãO DE OXIGêNIO NO SANGUE, E, ADAPTADOR PARA USO COM UM OXìMETRO E MéTODO PARA PERMITIR QUE O DITO OXìMETRO MONITORE O SPO~ 2~ (NìVEL DE SATURAçãO DE OXIGêNIO NO SANGUE) DE UM PACIENTE". Um adaptador de simulador é provido para ser usado com um oxímetro convencional para monitorar um paciente que pode estar remotamente localizado a partir do oxímetro. Em uma primeira forma de realização da invenção, o adaptador de simulador tem um dígito simulador que ajusta-se ao sensor do oxímetro. O dígito simulador detecta a saída de luz a partir do oxímetro e provê uma realimentação para o adaptador de simulador para permitir que o adaptador adapte o sinal do paciente enviado para o adaptador para uso pelo oxímetro, como se o paciente estivesse no local e está sendo medido pelo oxímetro. Em uma segunda forma de realização, em lugar de um dígito simulador, o adaptador de simulador tem, como sua saída, um conector que é adaptado para conjugar-se com o conector convencional que é parte do oxímetro convencional.
