Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA DESIGNAR UMA IDENTIDADE DE GRUPO MóVEL TEMPORáRIO EM UMA IRRADIAçãO MULTIMìDIA/SERVIçO MULTICAST". Um servidor de Irradiação Multimídia/Serviço Multicast (MBMS) (122) em um sistema de comunicação de dados de pacote (100) gera e designa Identidades de Grupo Móvel Temporário (TMGIs) para serviços MBMS, com isso servindo como um repositório central para os TMGIs. Em resposta ao receber uma solicitação de participar em um serviço MBMS, o servidor MBMS gera um TMGI (400). O servidor MBMS designa o TMGI para o serviço MBMS e armazena o TMGI em associação com informação que se relaciona ao serviço MBMS para produzir um TMGI armazenado. O servidor MBMS ainda transmite o TMGI a uma fonte da solicitação recebida, assim fornecendo uma distribuição do TMGI para estações móveis (102, 104) assinadas no serviço MBMS. As estações móveis assinadas poderão então utilizar o TMGI para receber pacotes de dados associados ao serviço MBMS.
