Abstract
"COMPOSIçãO E PROCESSO PARA DIMINUIR PERóXIDOS EM COMBUSTìVEIS DESTILADOS MéDIOS CONTENDO COMPOSTOS OXIGENADOS". A patente de invenção refere-se a uma diminuição na formação ou presença de peróxidos em combustível de destilação média através da combinação de um aditivo hidrocarboneto com o combustível. Especificamente, o combustível de destilação média é misturado com um ou mais compostos oxigenados. O aditivo hidrocarboneto inclui um grupo funcional polar e um hidrogênio terciário beta para o grupo funcional. Combustíveis de destilação média incorporando o aditivo, o aditivo em si, e processos utilizando o aditivo, todos retardam a formação de ou diminuem a presença de peróxidos no combustível. A diminuição de peróxidos melhora a durabilidade de elastómeros de sistemas de combustível, realça a estabilidade de combustível e a durabilidade de cor, e diminui a formação de sedimento de combustível.
