Numa transmissão continuamente variável com pelo menos dois membros de transmissão rotativos, que interagem entre si através de um membro de transmissão ajustável rotativo, a área estacionária de um rolamento para um membro de transmissão fica arranjada radialmente dentro da área de contato deste rolamento, proporcionando economia de espaço estrutural.
