Abstract

When the valve shaft (16) rotates to a second position, the communication between the first fluid inlet (18) and the first fluid outlet (20) is opened, while the communication between the second fluid inlet (22) and the second fluid outlet (24) is cut. the device is preferably hooked onto a transmission cylinder (48) in fluid communication with the first fluid outlet (20) and the second fluid inlet (22). A piston (52) is provided inside the transmission cylinder (48). A supply of fluid is operatively coupled to the first fluid inlet (18) and devices (42) are provided to rotate the valve shaft (16) at a constant speed. When the fluid pressure increases, the piston stroke (52) increases, thereby generating a longer piston stroke, while the speed of the rotary valve shaft (16) remains constant.
