Abstract
"MEMBRANA DE BORRACHA REFORçADA". Membrana tórica (M) feita de borracha reforçada, inflada a uma pressão p~ 0~ superior à pressão p~ 1~ da cavidade do pneumático (P) no qual ela é utilizada, que tem, no estado inflado um raio de vértice R~ M~ inferior ao raio esmagado R~ E~ do pneumático inflado, e sendo, em seu vértice (1), reforçada por pelo menos duas lonas de fios ou cabos cruzados de uma lona para o seguinte, pelo menos uma das ditas lonas sendo uma lona (13) de fios ou cabos, orientados circunferencialmente e em cada um de seus flancos por pelo menos uma lona de reforço (120), enrolada em torno de um elemento anular de reforço (2), e constituída por elementos de reforço (15), compostos cada um deles por uma alma (150) que apresenta uma força de ruptura por um lado superior à tensão, por elemento de lona, devida ao diferencial de pressão p~ 0~ - p~ 1~ e à força centrífuga máxima sofrida pelo dito elemento (15), e por outro lado tal que ela permita a ruptura dos ditos elementos (15) para um diferencial de pressão p~ 0~ - p'~ 1~ superior a p~ 0~ - p~ 1~ e depois a ruptura dos elementos da lona de guarnecimento (13), alma em torno da qual é enrolado pelo menos um fio ou cabo (151), o alongamento na ruptura <sym>~ R~ do elemento de reforço (15) sendo pelo menos igual à relação da diferença entre o comprimento meridiano interior do pneumático e o comprimento meridiano exterior da membrana sobre o comprimento meridiano exterior da membrana.
