Abstract

"MéTODO PARA PROVER UMA VEDAçãO ENTRE UM SUBSTRATO DE ALUMìNIO E UM SEGUNDO SUBSTRATO, USO DE UM OU MAIS COMPOSTOS CONTENDO FóSFORO, CONJUNTO DE SUBSTRATOS EM CONTATO FACE A FACE, E, MOTOR" é descrito um método para proporcionar uma vedação, por exemplo sob a forma de uma gaxeta, entre um substrato de alumínio e um segundo substrato, estando a vedação exposta a fluidos em temperaturas elevadas, particularmente em um motor automotivo. O método compreende as etapas de: "(a) aplicar a pelo menos um dos substratos uma composição vedante anaeróbica, que compreende: (i) um ou mais monómeros de éster de (met)acrilato polimerizáveis, (ii) um componente de indução de cura anaeróbico, e (iii) um promotor de adesão, que compreende um ou mais compostos contendo fósforo, tendo a fórmula geral I, em que, R^ 1^ é H, CH~ 3~ ou C~ 2~H~ 5~, R^ 2^ é -CH~ 2-~, -C~ 2~H~ 4-~, -C~ 3~H~ 6-~, ou - CH~ 2~-CH(CH~ 3~)- R^ 3^ é H, CH~ 3~ ou C~ 2~H~ 5~ n é um inteiro de 1 a 10, e m é um inteiro de 1 a 3, (b) colocar os substratos em contato face a face, e (c) permitir ou possibilitar com que a composição cure substancialmente em temperatura ambiente. Um promotor de adesão exemplificativo compreende uma combinação de fosfato ácido de bis (metacrilato de 2-hidroxietila) e fosfato ácido de metacrilato de 2-hidroxietila, opcionalmente com a adição de fosfato ácido de tris (metacrilato de 2-hidroxietila).
