Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"ENXERTO DE MONÈMEROS ETILENICAMENTE INSATURADOS EM POLìMEROS"<D>. A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a preparação de um polímero enxertado, no qual em uma primeira etapa A) um radical nitroxila estável é enxertado em um polímero, etapa esta que compreende aquecer um polímero e um nitroxil éter que contém um grupo (=NO-X), no qual X é selecionado tal que clivagem da ligação O-X ocorra e um radical X<sym> seja formado sob cerca de temperatura de fusão do polímero; e em uma segunda etapa B) o polímero enxertado de etapa A) é aquecido na presença de um monómero ou oligómero etilenicamente insaturado até uma temperatura em que clivagem da ligação nitroxila-polímero ocorre e polimerização do monómero ou oligómero etilenicamente insatura é iniciada no radical polímero; mantendo essa temperatura para polimerização adicional e posteriormente esfriamento da mistura até uma temperatura abaixo de 60°C. Objetivos adicionais são polímeros termoplásticos enxertados preparados pelo processo, o iniciador polimérico intermediário de radical, o uso do iniciador polimérico de radical e o uso de éteres de NO para enxerto de polímeros termoplásticos.
