Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA AUMENTAR O CORPO DE MANTA FIBROSA ENCURTADA". Descreve-se um processo para aumentar o corpo de uma manta fibrosa encurtada, que compreende adicionar umidade a pelo menos partes selecionadas da manta, fazendo com que dessa forma o encrespamento nas partes selecionadas afrouxe, e as partes selecionadas expandam, e ao mesmo tempo mantendo o encrespamento no resto da manta. Um aparelho preferido compreende um par de superfícies opostas, sendo que pelo menos uma das quais tem canais de expansão atravessando-a , e estando as mantas prensadas entre as superfícies. Um diferencial de temperatura é criado entre as duas superfícies opostas, suficiente para impulsionar a umidade adicionada às partes selecionadas através delas, afrouxando dessa forma o encrespamento nas partes selecionadas que expandem-se para dentro dos canais de expansão, enquanto que o encrespamento é mantido no resto da manta prensada entre as duas superfícies.
