Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PREVENçãO DA DEGRADAçãO A BAIXA TEMPERATURA DE ZIRCÈNIA TETRAGONAL CONTENDO MATéRIAS-PRIMAS". Um corpo de cerâmica apresentando uma região de superfície contendo zircónia tetragonal é sinterizado a pelo menos 95% da densidade teórica a uma temperatura abaixo de em torno 1550<198>C. A região de superfície é então tratada termicamente para reversão das tensões locais na mesma. A degradação a baixa temperatura na zircónia tetragonal, e a zircónia tetragonal contendo matéria-prima, é significativamente reduzida. A cerâmica tratada termicamente é especialmente adequada para uso em componentes estruturais tais como válvulas compartimentos de máquinas, pistões (câmaras) e similares os quais, durante operação, são freq³entemente expostos a uma temperatura indo da temperatura ambiente a 500<198>C por prolongados períodos de tempo.
