Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA PREVENçãO E/OU CONTROLE DE DEPOSIçãO DE INCRUSTAçãO E/OU PARA CONTROLE DE ESPUMAçãO DURANTE A EVAPORAçãO DE CORRENTES DE AçúCAR USANDO UM COMPOSTO POLICARBOXILADO". A deposição de sais de cálcio, incluindo carbonato de cálcio e oxalato de cálcio e a formação de espuma, durante a evaporação de correntes de açúcar podem ser evitadas ou restringidas pela adição nas correntes de açúcar de 0,1-200 ppm de um carbóxi-alquil-fructano que contém 0,5-3 grupos carboxila por unidade de monossacarídeo, dos quais 0,4-2,5 grupos carboxila estão na forma de grupos carbóxi-alquila. Os grupos carbóxi-alquila são, em particular, grupos carbóxi-metila. Os outros grupos carboxila podem ser grupos carboxila obtidos por oxidação. O carbóxi-metil-fructano fornece resultados comparáveis aos de poliacrilatos, que são menos desejáveis do ponto de vista de saúde e meio ambiente.
