Abstract

"ELETRODO ELETROCIRúRGICO CONCENTRADO EM CAMPO ELéTRICO". Trata-se de um membro de eletrodo eletrocirúrgico para a realização de procedimentos operativos que inclui um eletrodo condutor tendo um corpo principal (22') configurado de modo a comunicar uma energia elétrica por frequência de rádio ao tecido de um paciente. O corpo principal possui uma porção afiada (23'), tal como uma borda ou ponta alongada, com uma largura de aproximadamente 0,2 milímetro ou menor. A porção afiada concentra a energia elétrica por frequência de rádio transferida do corpo principal para o tecido do paciente. Em uma modalidade, um revestimento isolante não aderente (20') reveste o corpo principal do eletrodo incluindo a porção afiada. O revestimento isolante tem uma espessura de modo a permitir a transmissão da energia elétrica por frequência de rádio a partir do corpo principal para o tecido do paciente por meio de acoplamento capacitivo. Em uma modalidade alternativa, uma porção operativa da porção afiada se estende para fora a partir de baixo do revestimento isolante.
