Abstract

"REGISTRO DE BOOT COM PARTIçãO MODIFICáVEL PARA UM DISPOSITIVO DE MEMóRIA DE COMPUTADOR" Um sistema e método para proporcionar um registro de boot com partição modificável para um dispositivo de memória de um computador. O computador inclui um processador para carregar e executar o código de boot e o código de operação. O dispositivo de memória, que pode ser acessado pelo processador, inclui pelo menos duas partições, a primeira partição inicialmente sendo ativa e tendo um tipo que não é identificável pelo código do sistema de operação e a segunda partição inicialmente sendo inativa. Quando o computador executa o boot, o processador primeiro acessa a partição ativa. Depois que a partição ativa tiver sido acessada, o processador então converte o tipo para a partição ativa para um tipo visível, isto é, um tipo que é identificável para o código do sistema de operação. Se o usuário aceita a licença do software, o processador então designa a segunda partição como ativa.
