Abstract
"DISPOSITIVO E MéTODO PARA A DETECçãO DE DANOSDIGITAIS QUE AFETAM UM CANAL DE MODULAçãO DECóDIGO DE PULSO (PCM) A MONTANTE EM UMA REDE DECOMUNICAçãO DIGITAL". Um dispositivo e um método para adetecção de danos digitais que afetam um canal de modulação decódigo de pulso (PCM) a montante em uma rede de comunicaçãodigital (36) envolvem: o recebimento, por um modem de PCM digital(38) interconectado à rede de comunicação digital (36), de umaseq³ência randómica de valores digitais selecionados a partir deuma constelação de valores digitais transmitidos pelo canal dePCM a montante da rede de comunicação digital (36); oestabelecimento de distribuições dos valores digitais recebidos,cada distribuição correspondendo a um de uma pluralidade deintervalos de tempo; e a derivação das distribuições dos tipos desinalização de bit roubado e de perda digital que afetam o canal dePCM a montante da rede de comunicação digital (36), para cadaintervalo de tempo.
