Abstract

"MICROFONE DIRECIONAL". Um microfone direcional compreende um microfone do tipo de espingarda (16) tendo um tubo alongado que é projetado para controlar o direcionamento em frequências acima de uma freq³ência predeterminada e pelo menos quatro microfones de referência (20, 22, 24, 26) arranjados espacialmente em torno do dito microfone do tipo de espingarda (16). Um processador de sinal (50), o qual é eletricamente conectado aos microfones do tipo de espingarda e de referência, gera sinais de cancelamento de interferência (de 96) desde as porções dos sinais dos microfones de referência (20, 22, 24, 26) que têm frequências geralmente abaixo da frequência predeterminada. O processador de sinal (50) combina os sinais de cancelamento com o sinal do microfone do tipo de espingarda (16) para gerar um sinal de saída (100), no qual são melhorados sinais que se originam à frente do microfone direcional em uma direção ao longo do eixo longitudinal do tubo, e são suprimidos sinais que se originam de locais diferentes do que à frente do microfone direcional em uma direção ao longo do eixo longitudinal do tubo alongado.
