Abstract
Patente de Invenção: CONECTOR SUBMARINO. Um conjunto de conector eletro-óptico submarino possui uma unidade de plugue (10) contendo pelo menos um elemento de contato (42, 44) em um orifício (28) no interior do corpo de plugue e uma unidade de receptáculo (12) contendo pelo menos um elemento de contato (77, 81) em um orifício (70) alinhado com o orifício do plugue quando as duas partes são acopladas uma à outra. Cada um dos orifícios termina em um assento ampliado, em recesso (30, 73) na face frontal ou de acoplamento da respectiva unidade e um membro de selo (32, 88) está montado de forma móvel em cada assento. Cada membro de selo possui um orifício passante (110, 114) alinhado com os respectivos orifícios nas duas unidades quando em uma posição aberta e deslocado dos orifícios de elemento de contato em uma posição fechada, de forma a selar os orifícios até que as partes sejam conectadas. Os membros de selo são atuados para se mover da posição fechada para a posição aberta automaticamente quando as duas unidades são acopladas e o elemento de contato na unidade de plugue a seguir se estende para fora do corpo de plugue através dos orifícios do membro de selo alinhados e ao interior do orifício de receptáculo para ficar em contato com o correspondente elemento de contato de receptáculo.
