Abstract

"ELEMENTO DE FIXAçãO MACHO AUTO-REBITANTE". Um elemento de fixação auto-rebitante melhorado para união permanente a um painel metálico dentro de uma abertura de painel por um membro matriz tendo uma cavidade matriz cóncava anular. O elemento de fixação inclui uma porção de rebitagem tubular e uma porção de flange radial e uma porção de fixação. As superfícies interna e externa da porção de rebitagem tubular são relativamente uniformemente inclinadas no sentido da porção de flange radial tal que a espessura da porção de rebitagem tubular na extremidade livre seja menor que a espessura adjacente à porção de flange radial. Na configuração preferida, a superfície interna da porção de rebitagem tubular é cilíndrica e a superfície externa é ligeiramente cónica se inclinando para dentro no sentido da extremidade livre da porção de flange radial para reduzir a força requerida para radialmente deformar a extremidade livre da porção tubular radialmente para fora.
