Abstract

"Nó DE UMA REDE, REDE TENDO PELO MENOS DOIS NóS, PRODUTO DE COMPUTADOR, E , PROCESSO DE MANTER UM OBJETO DE DADOS EM UM SISTEMA DE BANCO DE DADOS REPLICADO". Em um ambiente de banco de dados, todos os nós (30) monitoram o bem-estar mutuamente pela recepção das mensagens do estado de nó em uma rede (20). Quando um nó é detectado como não mais estando em atividade, os outros nós deduzem que tal nó falhou. Quando é detectada uma falha de nó, um registro de estado de nó, tendo um valor de nó-inativo, é escrito em um registro de transações de nó (80), com relação ao nó falhante. Similarmente, quando um nó reativa-se ou um novo nó torna-se conhecido da rede, um registro de estado de nó, tendo um valor de nó-ativo, é escrito dentro do registro de transações de nó. Quando um nó local falha e em seguida é recomeçado, o nó local utiliza o conteúdo de seu registro de transações de nó, a fim de determinar como inicializar o valor de um objeto de dados replicado. Ao ler seu registro de transações de nó (32), o nó local pode decidir se o objeto de dados pode ser inicializado de seu disco ou não.
