Apresenta-se um aparelho para polimento cilíndrico compreendendo um banho de meio de polimento com meios de polimento acolhidos neste, uma base, um braço montado na base, um dispositivo de fixação de peça de trabalho montado em uma porção de extremidade distal do braço e adaptado para fixar uma peça de trabalho ao braço, em que os meios de polimento são levados a fluir no interior do banho de meio de polimento através de um dispositivo apropriado e uma placa de pressão para pressionar os meios de polimento é montada no banho de meio de polimento. Também apresenta-se um método para polimento cilíndrico.
