Abstract

MODULADOR óTICO UTILIZANDO ISOLADOR E TRANSMISSOR óTICO INCLUINDO O MESMO. São fornecidos um modulador ótico utilizando um isolador, e um transmissor ótico incluindo o mesmo. O modulador ótico modula uma onda de portador gerada por uma fonte ótica de acordo a um sinal elétrico pré determinado, e inclui um isolador incluindo um rotor Faraday aonde o ângulo de rotação de polarização e diferente de acordo a intensidade de um campo magnético aplicado, para o controle de isilamento de um sinal ótico de acordo ao ângulo de rotação de polarização e liberação de um sinal ótico modulado, um gerador de campo magnético para produção de um campo magnético cuja intensidade é controlada por um sinal elétrico pré determinado, e aplicação do campo magnético produzido no isolador, e um gerador de sinal para fornecimento do sinal elétrico ao gerador de campo magnético e controle da intensidade do sinal elétrico. O gerador de campo magnético é montado no isolador ótico, o sinal elétrico aplicado ao gerador de campo magnético é ajustado ao controle de intensidade do campo magnético formado no isolador. Conseq³entemente, o isolamento de um sinal ótico é ativado ou desativado, modulando dessa forma um sinal ótico de onda contínua. Por conseguinte, um pequeno e barato modulador ótico pode ser concebido apresentando uma excelente propriedade de temperatura e ser facilmente instalado no transmissor.
