Abstract

<B>"DISPOSITIVO DE MANDRIL PARA ACOMODAçãO DE UMA ESPIGA DE FERRAMENTA QUE SE ESTENDE AXIALMENTE<D>".Um dispositivo de mandril de liberação rápida tem um elemento corpo que define um furo que se estende axialmente, para acomodação de uma espiga de ferramenta. No mínimo, uma porção do furo é definida por uma pluralidade de segmentos de pega radialmente compressíveis e que se estendem axialmente. Os segmentos de pega são igualmente espaçados e definidos por meio de rasgos axiais, que se estendem a partir de uma face frontal do elemento corpo. No mínimo, dois recessos que se estendem axialmente e alinhados axialmente são definidos sobre cada um dos segmentos de pega. Um elemento operacional é coaxial com, e circunda, no mínimo, os segmentos de pega do elemento corpo. O elemento operacional define um canal com largura radial variável com os recessos formados do lado de fora dos segmentos de pega. O elemento operacional é móvel axialmente em relação ao elemento corpo. Elementos de atuação, tais como esferas, são colocados dentro dos canais de largura radial variável. Os elementos de atuação são moveis dentro dos canais, por meio de movimento axial do elemento luva, desde uma posição de pega, na qual as esferas estão em uma seção de largura radial reduzida dos canais, fazendo com que os segmentos de pega comprimam radialmente para dentro, e uma posição de liberação, na qual as esferas se movem para dentro de uma seção de largura radial maior dos canais, permitindo expansão radial dos segmentos de pega.
