The upper control arm is articulated mounted on the vehicle chassis structure by the initial positioning of the internal legs of the upper control arm such that the bushings are located forward in longitudinal alignment with the threaded pins. Thus, the upper control arm is then moved backwards such that the bushings are moved telescopically around the threaded pins. The axial lengths of the bushings are slightly shorter than the axial lengths of the exposed end portions of the threaded pins, allowing the nuts to be screwed into the threaded end portions of the threaded pins to pivotally retain the upper control arm of the side rail. The lower control arm can be pivotally mounted on the vehicle chassis structure in a similar manner.
